It takes a special kind of person to work here and Kelly, Taylor and Jean are 3 that are VERY special. Scooping poop, filling water buckets, sweeping mouse droppings, and getting cobwebs out of all the pens and corners are just a few of the housekeeping duties they are asked to do. And they always do it with a smile!!

Then comes the reward part, walking the dogs. Even this has its challenges like trying to get the chain collar on a wiggly dog or in keeping with our rule for the person to be the first out the gate, good luck with that one! There is always the comical how many times can the dog wrap the leash around your legs, then take off. Somehow we always prevail, the dogs get under control and the walk goes good.  Giving cookies is a treat for the dogs and the volunteers. 

So thank you special people, you take volunteering to the next level and make Second Chance look good!
