Weaver at Music 4 Mutts

Weaver who came to our shelter during the worst storm of 2008, is sitting with his guardian, Gretchen, and Mac and The Boogie Boys at our Music 4 Mutts event.

Weaver was brought to our shelter with his back leg broken in 4 places but his wagging tail wasn't broken.  We took him to our vet ASAP and after much debate, decided that amputation was the best option.  He came back to the shelter a tripod.  I worked the next morning after he got back from the vet and fully expected to have to carry him out for his morning duties with a sling, but was suprised when he greeted me st the front of his pen looking out the door.  Weaver never missed a beat!   To give him a better chance to find a home, he was transferred to another shelter where Gretchen found and fell in love with him.  Wanting to know his background, found out that he came from our shelter and contacted us to hear his story.  Gretchen and Weaver have been loyal supporters ever since, coming to every event!  Weaver is a well balanced, people and dog social tripod canine who truly is a Wonderdog!
