Like us people, the dogs are effected by the heat, and like us they dehydrate, run down, amp up and get cranky. Right now Saturdays are very fast paced. Lots of water is add to the dogs meals to make sure they stay hydrated,  extra water buckets are put out where needed and the mists hoses are turned on. We work hard to make sure  all the dogs get a walk before it gets to hot. It's not easy and with my leaving early to go to obedience class it is hard on the other volunteers but they smile and carry on.

Speaking of obedience class, every dog there has made amazing improvement. The shy are coming out of their shell, the puppies have learned their commands, and the owners are all confident and have become the pack leader. All the dogs are well mannered not only with people but with each other. Everyone in class (people and dogs) have worked hard and they should all be very proud.
