Goodbye and Thank you

Saturday started out as an ordinary day at the shelter but ended up being extra extraordinary.  Like every Saturday I left telling Debbie to get a least one dog adopted (I'd like it to be Hogan) and as usual I wished her good luck. Imagine my surprise when she phone me to tell me eight of our wonderful dogs had homes. Best of all my Hogan was one of them. I love all the dogs but Hogan has always had a special place in my heart. I cried tears of joy when I found out he now had a home. To all you wonderful people who adopted one of our dogs I thank you very much. To the wonderful people who adopted Hogan you get an extra special thank you and if you would kindly take his face in your hands, kiss him between the eyes and tell him he is a special boy I  would be very grateful. Again, thank you to all who have adopted, past, present and future. It is the dogs and the wonderful people like you that keep us doing what we do.

Adoptions

Wow, that is truly wonderful news. So many finding homes on Saturday. While you must miss Hogan madly, still what a great day for him. And without all of you volunteers and Debbie working so hard, these guys wouldn't go to new homes well adjusted, having felt loved and appreciated even while having to stay at the shelter. Congratulations!!
