Play Yard Reconstruction

Our old play yard was made with farm pallets nailed together. The dogs enjoy their time outside but the yard was not secure and the fence was only 4 feet tall. We received a generous grant to give the dogs in our Pit Bull Promenade Showcase a larger and more secure area. Reconstruction of the play yard at the Corning Animal Shelter was made possible in part by a grant from Animal Farm Foundation, Inc. (www.animalfarmfoundation.org) and the volunteer labor of the shelter.

Play yard increased from 334 square feet to 1900 square feet. Digging area, pool area, and RUNNING (not trotting) area were added. Dogs are lost in the big space. In the images with dogs there are 4 dogs out in the yard. Pat is doing training of the pit bulls and we'll be bringing bales of straw in to construct an agility area.

Thank you Animal Farm Foundation for the generous grant that paid for the supplies to build the new fencing. Thank you to the Panko's for volunteer labor.

Our homeless dogs THANK YOU!!!
